I — Inspect: Create Your Rescue Plan
Step 5 of 7: I — Inspect | The Blizzard Breakthroughs CLARIFY Method™
Create Your Rescue Plan
You now have three numbers side by side: your Current Profit and Loss statement, your Target Profit and Loss statement, and a scorecard tracking the gap. This section is a gap analysis — turning that gap into specific, owned actions.
Run the Gap Analysis
For each scorecard line, calculate the distance between actual and target:
- Revenue gap
- Gross Margin gap
- Marketing spend gap
- Admin spend gap
- Net Profit % gap
Actions to Get From Current to Target
For each gap, write the specific action that closes it — not a general goal, an action you can start this week. For example:
- Revenue gap → specific offer, channel, or outreach to close it
- Gross Margin gap → pricing change, vendor renegotiation, or COGS reduction
- Marketing spend gap → reallocate budget to the channel with the best return
- Admin spend gap → specific expense to cut or renegotiate
Steps
- Rank the gaps by size — largest dollar impact first.
- Write one action per gap, with a named owner (even if that's just you) and a target date.
- Assign each action an expected dollar impact so you can see if the plan actually closes the gap.
- Accountability means doing what you said you'd do — and inspecting whether you did.
You'll walk away with:
A rescue plan built from a real gap analysis: specific actions, owners, dates, and expected dollar impact, mapped directly to your scorecard.
